未來將專注於 Optane 產品，SK Hynix 以 90 億美元收購 Intel 記憶體與儲存事業
Intel 再次讓大家嚇了一跳，因為在 10 月 20 日與韓國 SK Hynix 簽署協議，要將記憶體與儲存事業（NAND memory and Storage）以 90 億美金轉售給韓系品牌；Intel 與 SK Hynix 這筆交易預計會在 2021 年獲得政府相關部門的批准。
這筆達 90 億美元的交易包含了 Intel 在中國大連的工廠、NAND SSD 事業、NAND 零件、晶圓事業以及研發人員在內。Intel 與 SK Hynix 這筆交易並不包含 Optane 相關事業，同時 Intel 也會將相關事業列入長期優先投資事項，也就是說未來 Optane Memory 和 Optane SSD 的 Intel Optane 技術將會是 Intel 儲存的主要產品。
在完成交易前，Intel 的 NAND Flash 以及相關 IP 的生產都會持續在中國大連廠繼續生產。
NAND memory 以及 Storage 事業在 Intel 組織內屬於 Non-valite Memory Soulution Group（NSG），最主要的 2 個產品就是 Intel Optane 以及 Intel 3D NAND；NSG 在 2019 年營收為 44 億美元，而在 2020 第二季財報中，佔了 Intel 整體營收的 8%。
就了解，剩下 Intel Optane 的 Non-valite Memory Soulution Group（NSG）將併入由 Navin Shenoy 負責 Data Platforms Group（DPG）。
