特斯拉和 SpaceX 创始人 Elon Musk 在 WSJ CEO 峰会上谈了一个被广泛讨论过的问题：美国的企业有太多的高管学的是工商管理。他称美国企业的最大问题是由 MBA 管理公司，公司的 CEO 们过于痴迷于运营数字，而忽视了创造更好的产品和服务这一使命。他认为公司高管应该更多关注产品和服务，减少董事会讨论时间，减少财务会议时间。他们应该去第一线关心产品而不是待在豪华的办公室里。过去几十年美国一直被 MBA 统治，这被认为是最具有美国特色的现象，在其他国家科技公司 CEO 多是工程师，像德国连总理都是物理学博士，难以想象美国会选一名物理学博士当总统。
