AMD的锐龙处理器从去年的锐龙3000系列开始才真正具备正面刚酷睿的实力，今年的锐龙5000在单核、游戏性能上实现超越，才真正有威胁。然而，对DIY零售市场，甚至整个桌面CPU市场上来说，Intel并不是很担心AMD的竞争。这不是Intel自满，而是在另一个市场——笔记本电脑上，Intel的领先优势更多，AMD在2020年之前都没什么竞争力。
