9月16日，广东移动与华为研发的FTTR全光Wi-Fi，今日在汕头全球商用首发。据介绍，FTTR是Fibertotheroom的缩写，翻译成中文就是“光纤到房间”。全光Wi-Fi就是不用网线，全部用光纤。使用光纤代替网线，部署1拖N模式，每个房间配置一台光路由器设备，提供Wi-Fi6无线接入，使每个房间都可以达到千兆以上的网速。
