8月1日消息，外媒援引消息人士称字节跳动同意剥离TikTok美国业务。报道指出，字节跳动之前曾寻求保留TikTok在美国业务的少数股权，但是最新消息称字节跳动将完全退出，微软将接管美国TikTok。
消息人士称字节跳动美国投资者可能会获得美国TikTok业务的少数股权，根据协议，微软将负责保护美国TikTok用户的数据。
分析师表示，微软可能是接管TikTok美国业务的最合适人选，让微软和TikTok结合，可以在Alphabet以及Facebook之外再建立起一个强大的数字广告巨人，从而让市场更具活力。
此外，微软手上也有足够的现金储备，它可以更轻松的支付收购费用，完全不需要再去筹集收购资金。
