不法分子利用科技进行洗黑钱活动也不是新鲜事，但最新被发现的却是利用共享房屋平台 Airbnb 的服务。据 Daily Beast 的报导，有俄罗斯的骗徒在盗取信用卡资料后，就透过利诱合资格的屋主，透过 Airbnb 来洗黑钱。而且不法分子更相当招摇地在俄罗语的讨论区中发帖子邀请同党，不管是洗黑钱帐户或是屋主。
