Uber 日前表示已将其在印度的外卖业务 Uber Eats 出售给了当地竞争对手 Zomato。至于原因，正如之前的报道，是 Uber 希望在全球范围内削减开支，争取在 2021 年实现盈利。

Uber 将拥有 Zomato 9.99％ 的股份，Eats 用户将纳入这家印度公司。根据 TechCrunch 的说法，知情人士称，该交易使 Uber Eats 在印度的业务价值在 1.6 亿美元至 2 亿美元之间。

福雷斯特研究公司（Forrester）分析师 Satish Meena 表示，尽管与 Uber 达成了交易，但 Zomato 仍然落后于本地竞争对手 Swiggy，后者每天的订单数更多。在 Prosus Ventures 的支持下，Swiggy 于 2018 年末筹集了 10 亿美元。
