11月16日，丁磊回到母校宁波奉化中学，参加新校区迁入仪式并发表演讲，他表示很多来网易工作的人都只是为了谋生，并没有兴趣。同时，强调兴趣很重要。丁磊表示，在工作中他看到很多人，他们来网易工作，他其实没兴趣，只是把工作当做一种谋生的手段。
