2019年11月01日美国疾病控制与预防中心（CDC）周四表示，全美致命性电子烟相关病例仍在继续攀升，在 1800 多例病患中，目前已有 37 例确诊死亡 … CDC 暂时将该病症称为 EVALI（「与电子烟产品使用相关的肺损伤」的简称）。据 CDC，大多数患者都报告吸了含有大麻类物质四氢大麻酚（THC）的产品，特别是在街头或通过非法经销商等非正式来源购买的产品。
