顶着国产“科幻大片”光环的《上海堡垒》遭遇惨败，票房、口碑都一败涂地，上映三天入账勉强过亿，豆瓣评分只剩3.3，官微甚至激动得一度连发四条“这是烂片？？？？”但随后自我删除。8月11日一早，电影导演滕华涛@黄油小熊发布长文公开道歉：“这不仅仅是对电影不满意，也是对中国科幻电影的期待落空了，作为导演，我有着不可推卸的责任。真的很抱歉，因为我相信，没有人想要去关上这扇闪着光的门。”
