Google 在发给 9to5Google 的声明中称，“我们在智能手表上看到 Nest 应用的用户中，只有少数人在使用它。我们的团队将花更多的时间专注于通过移动应用和语音互动来提供高质量的体验。”
你仍然可以使用 Android 和 iOS 上的 Nest 移动应用程序来进行操控，而且 Nest 应用的通知仍然会在智能手表上显示（镜像手机的通知）。此外，Wear OS 手表用户也可以使用 Google 智能助理来控制 Nest 设备，不过 Apple Watch 用户就没法这样来操作了。
Google 在对 Apple Watch 的支持方面做的努力越来越少。9to5Google 指出，Google 的笔记应用 Keep 是该公司现有的唯一一款支持 watchOS 的应用。
