So no gcam without it? Are we even sure Asus willl push such an update ?
gcam uses a lot of ZSL function such as viewfinder, motion function, photobooth, etc.
Asus did it before on 5z with motion function finally working in the recent software update. So zenfone 6 might get a camera vendor fix.
Because the other phone with the same camera sensor has this capability.

This community is a bit slow until Asus launches the Zenfone 6 officially in the US...

Oh wait, next week Asus will launch 6z in India which essentially same phone as Zenfone 6.......i hope more devs and enthusiasts will contribute towards AZ6 development

OnePlus 7 Pro (which uses the same Sony sensor than Zenfone 6) already has a gcam port working and it improves the night shots by a good margin.

It would be nice if Asus can do the necessary changes on their code so Zenfone 6 can also have a gcam port

Yes the K20 pro also has it ported

k20 pro is very similar to mi9, camera hardware-wise so thats why it support gcam

Best wishes, your support for this device is the biggest reason I'm going to opt for this. Otherwise I was little bit more inclined towards one plus 7 pro.

Wow, great job Arnova, as always.

Please, it you need some help or just to test stuff, I just got my Zenfone 6 today and I would really like to get my hands into adapting the gcam for this phone ( I'm a developer so maybe I can help).

What about the 12mp ones? I heard that 12mp pics are suppose to be better most of the time, so I hope everything is fine there also

Now that we are closer to get a gcam mod I'm closer to get myself a Zenfone 6!! :victory:

Unfortunately on my phone it crashes a lot. The viewfinder is laggy, if i take a photo(HDR Enhanced) it freezes my whole phone . After that every time i try to turn it on it just crashes on start. I have to clean app memory to start it again. Woah but HDR Zsl works(app still crashes from time to time but it takes the picture) and the difference is noticable!
