美国当地时间5月31日，据知情人士透露，美国司法部正准备对Alphabet子公司谷歌就其搜索和其他业务进行反垄断调查。
谷歌在2010年曾受到欧盟委员会关于反垄断的处罚，该案最终以谷歌在2017年支付27亿美元高额罚金了结。2016年，欧盟委员会再度对谷歌旗下安卓手机操作系统发起相关调查，并最终在2018年对谷歌处以51亿美元罚款。
近年来，伴随着一系列关于用户数据隐私泄漏事件，美国的政界及社会公众对于大型科技公司是否形成垄断地位的讨论日渐升温。美国司法部上一次发起的对大型科技公司的反垄断调查发生在1998年，当时的调查对象是微软。
目前美国司法部及谷歌还未就此消息做出评论。
