指控刘强东强奸的明尼苏达大学学生Jingyao Liu（音译刘静尧），周二向明尼阿波利斯一家法院提起民事诉讼，对此，京东集团代理律师Peter Walsh声明： 我们目前对此无法发表评论，但我们将坚决地对这个不实的指控进行辩护。 京东方面律师回应：诉讼过程中不便发表评论 但坚决对不实指控进行辩护。
刘强东先生代理律师Jill Brisbois声明：我们还没有研究过对方的诉状，目前不方便对一个正在进行的诉讼发表评论。此前明尼苏达州亨内平县检察官办公室对刘强东先生做出了不起诉的决定，我们坚信他是无辜的，我们强烈认为这个起诉是缺乏事实依据的，我们会坚决地为他辩护！
