For many enterprise customers, success is built on the hard work their employees put in day in and day out to create value—from providing excellent patient care, to keeping track of retail and warehouse inventory, to overseeing shipping logistics, and everything in between.
Today, we’re excited to share Acer’s launch of the Chromebook 714 and Chromebook 715, both purpose-built for your workers who need durable, easy-to-use devices. Each device features an impact-resistant, all-aluminum chassis that can tolerate drops of up to four feet and withstand 132 pounds of downward force as well as resistance to dents, bending, and corrosion. The Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad is scratch and moisture resistant, making it perfect for use by your workers in locations like hospitals or on a manufacturing floor. To keep your workers powered all-day, the Acer Chromebook 714 and 715 can both be configured to include up to Intel Core i5 processors and 16 gigabytes of memory, and come standard with up to 12 hours of battery life. They feature 14 and 15.6-inch IPS displays, respectively, with an optional touchscreen.
The Acer Chromebook 714 and 715 also introduce new hardware features not yet seen on enterprise clamshell Chromebooks. Both feature an integrated fingerprint reader to the right of the keyboard for added security. Fingerprints are securely stored in an encrypted state on their own chip, ensuring that they remain safe at all times. Finally, the Acer Chromebook 715 is Acer’s first enterprise Chromebook to feature a full numeric keypad, ideal for employees who need to be able to enter data efficiently, such as healthcare practitioners, retail and banking associates, or warehouse workers.
Both the Acer Chromebook 714 and 715 will be available starting in July from MSRP $499 for the base model in North America and select countries in Europe. You can sign up here to learn more.
