2月24日晚上，华为在巴塞罗那MWC2019世界移动通信大会的主题演讲上，正式发布了全球最薄的支持5G网络的可折叠屏幕的智能手机——华为MateX。虽然华为Mate与三星GalaxyFold一样只有官方演示机，比提供现场试玩，但余承东表示，MateX开合随心，其全新折叠形态设计使其从平凡中脱颖，甚至是一场科技大成的变革。
