2018年，华为（以及旗下的荣耀）在智能手机的技术层面有很多的进展，硬件方面比如说麒麟980处理器，而软件层面则是基于手机操作系统EMUI的各种Turbo，比如说非常吓人的GPUTurbo、后来在荣耀Note10上亮相的CPUTurbo。而在12月，华为又在手机网络通信层面推出一项新技术，命名为LinkTurbo。
