Please save the date and register, we hope to see you there!

How can I attend, or present a talk?

To attend please create a new user account orlog in and thenregister.

To speak pleasesubmit your proposal as soon as possible - the earlier you submit, the more likely your talk is to be accepted.

We welcome the submission of talks, discussions, presentations and workshops about Perl 5, Perl 6, other languages and supporting technologies. It could be something you've been working on, or just something interesting. The Workshop is a chance for us all to learn from each other.

This year we hope to have access to three Workshop rooms and would like to run as many workshops as possible. We would also love to refresh the skills of those wishing to engage with the latest developments in the Perl and other languages. If you wish to submit a workshop please use the same submission form as the talks, please note that workshops will be 60, 120 or 240 minutes in length.

Proposal Deadline:Wednesday 31st October 2018

13/11/18 London Perl Workshop Schedule

With theworkshop just over a week away we have created theschedule. You'll notice we still have room for a few talks, so if you have something you would like to talk about then don't hesitate tosubmit a talk

We have tweaked the schedule a bit from previous years to start a little later than normal and allow a little more time for lunch. You'll also notice we have a dedicated Perl 6 track and a dedicated "mentoring / beginners" track.

We also have room for more lightning talks and will favour those that are submit early. Note we may tweak the schedule slightly to make room for more talks and/or depending on other factors.

As always, thanks to our sponsors:

29/08/18 A change to this year's LPW Date, 3rd -> 24th Nov

After a few chats at this year's The Perl Conference in Glasgow , and realising that the chosen date for London Perl Workshop 2018 will clash with freenode #live , we decided it would be a good idea to bump the workshop date from Saturday 3rd November to a week later on Saturday 10th November.

However, after speaking to the venue (the usual place of The University of Westminster) this won't be possible due to their prior commitments. So we have decided to push the date back to the "usual" one of the last weekend in November - Saturday 24th.

Having checked a couple of sources the 24th will not clash and this leaves the other potential dates free for people to attend workshops happening then, namely the 3rd November for freenode #live and the 17th November for Barcelona Perl & Friends .

We hope this doesn't affect the plans of anyone who was going to come, and after a straw poll during the first day of lightning talks at TPCiG it seems that bumping the date by a couple of weeks will be of more benefit to those who wanted to attend but wouldn't have been able to (or were going to favour freenode #live).
