中兴与英电信公司JT Global签署5G网络协议

据外媒TelecomLead 11月22日报道，中兴宣布已与英国电信公司JT Global签署了首个5G网络协议。此前中兴已是JT Global的4G网络供应商。JT工程师将与中兴在5G网络上进行合作，计划于2019年启动测试服务。由于 CICRA的标准提升，JT计划逐步改进，预计到2021年在海峡群岛提供5G服务。JT预测，除拥有数千个物联网设备外，10%的岛民还将于2023年拥有5G的设备。
JT CEO格雷姆•米勒表示：“我们希望在岛上建造世界一流的光纤网络，为海峡群岛提供世界上最好的5G服务。”
中兴英国公司的总经理也表示：“中兴致力于为JT和海峡群岛提供最好的5G服务和解决方案”。
