谷歌向全球用户推出了极其好用的地图和导航服务，但在过去八年时间里，位于美国内华达州的某个军事基地，其卫星图像仍是一片荒芜。据Motherboard报道，2008~2016年间，谷歌都没有更新“位于内华达州西南部的托诺帕试验场（TonopahTestRange）”，我们只能通过网络看到一系列干涸的湖床。谷歌后来放出了2014-2015年的图像，但仍未解释那六年的真空期到底是怎么一回事。
