For developers, selecting an icon format to display icons on projects can be a chore. We ask do I use SVG or are there icon fonts I can use? Well, we know the non-ending Icon Fonts versus SVG battle that has been going on for a couple of years now and this article is not going to take any sides.

We should be free to make the most optimized design decisions based on any given project as developers.

Now, let us take a quick look at web icon fonts and we would start with the ones that have SVG support already in place (to be on the good side of both worlds), in no really identified particular order.

Tip: Using Bit you can share any set of Icons as individual components which can be independently discovered and used with NPM without installing a whole library. It’s open source, so feel free to give it a try.
