周日下午“突传刘强东在美涉嫌性侵”的消息刷屏，京东官微迅速回应称，刘强东遭失实指控。对此方舟子发文称，刘强东虽然已被保释，但警方并没有说明刘强东是因为不实指控而释放。方舟子在推文中表示，刘强东于8月31日23点32分被明尼阿波利斯警察局拘留，原因是性犯罪，在郡拘留所待了一晚上，9月1日16点5分释放等待正式指控，没说是因为不实指控释放。
