8 月 16 日凌晨，苹果正式发布了 iOS 12 操作系统的第八个开发者 beta 测试版。iOS 12 上一个开发者测试版发布时间为 8 月 14 日凌晨，时隔也就两天的时间。之所以相隔不久，主要是因为 iOS 12 第七个开发者测试版发布几个小时后，就被发现比较大的性能问题，苹果不得以撤回了更新。
