Linux 4.18 正式版将延期发布

前两天 Linux 4.18 RC 7 发布的时候，Linus Torvalds 表示，如果不出意外，RC 7 将是 4.18 的最后一个 RC 版本，并且 4.18 正式版将在下周发布。而最近 Linus 的一封邮件显示，小意外真的出现了，Linux 4.18 正式版将延期发布。
邮件中 Linus 表示，虽然目前还只是周二，但是自 RC 7 以来，已经收到了 90 个 commit，为此他将发布一个 RC 8 版本，将 4.18 正式版向后推迟，以争取足够的时间来好好处理提交的这些问题。
Linus 的霸道总裁范是出了名的，在邮件最后他写到：“我倾向于按照排期发布更新，但是一旦我有理由，我就会延期。”这让人联想起前阵子黯然离场的“终生仁慈独裁者” Python 之父 Guido van Rossum。
