7月4日晚，韩寒在网上发表了《我不是药神》影评，他大赞，这是一部“了不起的电影，是最近几年罕见的国产电影”。他指出，当下国产片的弊病之一就是缺乏对现实社会的关注，而《我不是药神》这类电影推动了现实社会的进步，“反映了人间的顽疾”，就算“抛去社会意义，这也是一部节奏优秀，悲喜交加，演员出彩，声画惧佳的电影。很多年没有在电影院看到这样一部国产电影了。”
