谷歌加入Linux基金会的白金会员行列

继日前在北京开幕的LC3 2018大会上，腾讯宣布成为Linux基金会的白金会员之后，今天谷歌也宣布成为该基金会的白金成员。根据Linux基金会的章程，白金会员具备“参与和支持Linux及其他开源技术的生产、制造、使用、销售和标准化”权利，年费为50万美元。
Google Cloud开源策略负责人Sarah Novotny将会出任Linux基金会新董事，他说道：“开源是Google企业文化基因的一部分，我们很早之前就已经意识到开放式的生态系统能够快速发展，面对挑战能有更强的适应能力，并能创造更优秀的软件。Linux基金会是开源社区的重要代表。通过和该机构的紧密合作，我们能够更好的和社区接触，并持续创建一个更具包容性的生态系统，并且让生态中每个人都能从中受益。
