Let's Encrypt CA 在 SSL 证书市场份额突破了 36%，远远超过排名第二的 COMODO CA，后者的市场份额只有前者的一半（19.21%），相比之下已经宣布将退出 CA 市场的 StartCom CA 份额仅为 0.02%，沃通 WoSign CA 份额为 0.06%。Let's Encrypt CA 的目标旨在让每个网站都启用 HTTPS 加密它在今年 6 月庆祝签发了 1 亿个证书，7 月宣布将于 2018 年 1 月免费提供通配符证书（Wildcard certificate）。
