AMD 服务器处理器性能在十年内提升了 40 倍
Phoronix 先后评测了 AMD 32 核服务器处理器 EPYC 7601 与英特尔 Xeon Gold 6138 在 Linux 上的性能， 与 AMD 十年前的服务器处理器 Opteron 2300 系列进行了对比，发现处理器的性能在十年内提升了 40 倍之多。Opteron 2300 有 4 个物理核心，而 EPYC 则是 32 核 64 线，线程数是 Opteron 的 16 倍，EPYC 有着较低的基频，但boost 频更高，在 NASA 的 Lower-Upper Gauss-Seidel solver 测试中，一颗 EPYC 的性能 25 倍于两颗 Opteron 处理器，每瓦性能同样达到 25 倍左右；John The Ripper's Blowfish 测试中，性能提升 10 倍，每瓦性能 8 倍左右。
