之前漫画家桂正和的经典作品《电影少女》宣布改编成真人日剧，本作是以原作25年之后的世界为舞台，一位高中生翻出了叔叔之前的录像带，然后一个美少女从里面走了出来。现在官方公开了本作女主角的详情和演员，这次出现的电影少女依旧为“天野爱”（看来25年之后又出来了），将由乃木坂46的西野七濑出演。
