"Call failed - user busy" when wife calls me; all other calls work fine
Me: iPhone 5, iOS 10.3.3, O2 (UK)
Wife: iPhone SE, iOS 11.1, Three (UK)
Since about 2 weeks ago, my wife has been unable to call me. She can make and receive calls to landlines and other mobiles (any network). I can make and receive calls to landlines and other mobiles. Yet she can't call me. Occasionally the incoming call screen flashes up momentarily and my phone will register a missed call, but thats maybe less than 1 in 5 times. My wife just gets "call failed".
I've tried everything - delete/recreate contacts, restore phone, dialling with/without country code.
I can only assume its a carrier-related issue. But why would it affect just this one call and only in one direction? Next step is to get replacement SIM cards I suppose.
I've checked the Apple communities, and the consensus seems to be a carrier problem.
But good people of r/techsupport can you shed any more light?
(and resist the urge to tell me to get a new phone - I'm getting there honest!)
