特斯拉首席执行官埃隆•马斯克当地时间23日表示，“擎天柱”人形机器人仍处于实验阶段，最早可能在明年年底上市。报道称，在周二与投资者举行的电话会议中，马斯克预测称，今年年底，“擎天柱”人形机器人将有能力在工厂中执行任务。马斯克认为，在所有人形机器人制造商中，特斯拉最有可能实现量产。
