开源Wii模拟器Dolphin在官网声称，运营Steam游戏平台的Valve公司受到任天堂施压，给Dolphin发来了DMCA(数字千年版权法)警告， 责令关停之后，Dolphin在Steam游戏平台主页已不可访问。 Dolphin只得无限期推迟Steam平台的上线计划。
Dolphin模拟器支持4K显示器，各种现代化的手柄，但它仅提供Wii和Gamecube模拟器软件，不包含任何商业游戏，ROM文件需要玩家自己解决。Dolphin在Steam主页曾发表免责声明：“此应用不包含游戏，请务必在Dolphin上运行原始合法的游戏副本。”
