苹果于 3 月 28 日发布了 iPhone 版独立应用程序 Apple Music Classical，而现在它也登陆了 Android 平台。该应用目前暂未推出 iPad 和 Mac 版。
这款专门提供古典音乐的 app 是苹果公司于 2021 年收购 Primephonic 的成果——一家总部位于荷兰的古典乐流媒体服务商。Apple Music Classical 以独立版本的形式出现在 App Store 中供用户自行下载，订阅标准版 Apple Music 的用户可访问。
Apple Music Classical 以高达 192 kHz/24 位的高分辨率无损串流，苹果公司表示其包含“数千个”空间音频录音。
