Hello Folks, I am working on vSphere client 8 for some reason datastore storage is showing 0. When I am trying to create it just not moving forward because vSphere unbale to retrieve storage space. Even though I have create 100 GB but still did not work and also I am unable to install vCenter because of this error.
Please advise. Thanks.
Have you looked over the requirements to install? ESXi has strict disk size requirements if you are attempting to use the same device you use to boot also as a datastore. A VMFS datastore is automatically provisioned for storing VMs if the boot media is greater than 128GB.
Also would need more information:
- Are you spinning up a nested ESXI on another hypervisor (or a lower version of ESXI), or installing on bare-metal?
- How big is the boot device?
- Do you have other storage devices available?
