关于远程开发同步的疑惑

最近在探索“个人远程开发”方案的可行性，就是让代码和环境都放在服务器，本地最多只跑个 ide 。
然后发现，phpstrom 的 deployment 只能做到自动上传服务器功能，遇到一个比较麻烦场景是：当在服务器中 git 切换了分支后，就只能在本地通过 download from 来全量下载项目所有。
这个问题在 vscode 的 remote-ssh 是不存在的，但在 phpstrom 中好像是无解，不知道这个小众圈子范围的大佬有无什么其他解决方案？（直接拥抱 vscode 完事？
