苹果 M2 MacBook Air 改用定制USB Retimer 芯片
IT之家 7 月 26 日消息，据 macrumors 消息，在 M2 MacBook Air 中，苹果已将负责控制 USB-C接口的 USB Retimer 芯片由英特尔的型号替换为定制型号，这意味英特尔的最后残余芯片已在 Mac 上消失。
据报道，iFixit 的拆解报告中称他们找到了一个“看似是苹果制造”的 U09PY3 USB Retimer 芯片芯片，而不是英特尔 JH8040RUSB Retimer 芯片。
IT之家了解到，2021 年 5 月，彭博社的 Mark Gurman 报道称，苹果计划“用内部芯片替换最后剩余的英特尔部件。当时苹果 M1 Mac 仍使用英特尔 USB Retimer组件。
2020 年 11 月，苹果正式发布 M1 芯片，当时苹果称从英特尔到自研芯片为期两年的 Mac 过渡计划正式开始。现在来看，苹果尚未在代表最高算力的Mac Pro 上部署自研芯片。如果苹果在今年晚些时候推出搭载高规格 M2 芯片的 Mac Pro，Mac 过渡计划将成功结束。
