主要汽车制造商都推出了不同程度的自动驾驶系统，那么自动驾驶期间发生了车祸，应该由谁承担法律责任？奔驰汽车制造商梅塞德斯表示责任在它。奔驰 S 级和 EQS 汽车在时速低于 40 英里的高速公路上行驶时可启用 Drive Pilot 系统去控制车速、转向和刹车。一旦启用该系统，司机就不再需要承担责任，可以转移视线，放松下看部电影。如果发生了车祸，这是奔驰的问题不是司机的问题。这一区别使得梅塞德斯的半自动驾驶系统领先于特斯拉的 AutoPilot，Drive Pilot 已批准在德国所有高速公路上使用，梅塞德斯希望今年底前能在美国部署该系统。
