Imagine having a tool that can automatically detect if you are using JPA and Hibernate properly. Hypersistence Optimizer is that tool!

Quality over quantity

I’ve been blogging for six years already, and every year I like to write a report with the achievements I’ve made over the last year.

If you are curious about my previous reports, check out the following list:

Page Views

In 2019, I got around 10,547 daily page views, meaning that this year, I’ll get over 3.85 million page views. That’s a 22% traffic increase since 2018.

Overall, in these six years of blogging, I got over 8.8 million page views and 4.5 million visitors. Cool, right?

Hypersistence Optimizer

At the beginning of 2019, I got a great idea. Why not build a tool to check the Java Persistence and Hibernate mappings and configurations automatically?

Instead of having to manually inspect every configuration and mapping that can impact application performance, nowadays you can use Hypersistence Optimizer and save a lot of money that you’d otherwise have to spend on finding out why your enterprise application is working slow.

Hypersistence Optimizer has already been helping many developers getting a better understanding of their application performance issues, and allowed their projects to run faster.

Training

In 2015, I quit my day job to focus on writing the High-Performance Java Persistence book , which also allowed me to create the awesome High-Performance Java Persistence workshop that many companies have benefited from ever since.

While giving my High-Performance Java Persistence training, I realized that many application developers could benefit from learning more about SQL, so, in 2019, I built theSQL Master Class training which aims to teach attendees how to to get the most out of the latest SQL features introduced in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Hibernate-types project

Exactly two years ago, I launched the hibernate-types project , which provides a great variety of custom Hibernate Types to handle JSON, ARRAY or database-specific column types like Inet , Range or HStore .

Over the past two years, the hibernate-types project has been adopted by many projects, and now it reached over 180,000 monthly downloads.

Blog layout

At the beginning of 2019, I also decided to change my blog layout. The previous UI was based on a free WordPress theme that lacked support for full-width pages or a fixed menu. The current theme is way better, and now thehome page, along with thebook, courses ,training, andconsulting pages, use a much better cleaner design.

All in all, thank you for reading my blog and stay tuned for more awesome articles!
