I just got "Night mode"
I just want to be able to set a default assistant volume. Almost daily we end up turning the volume down low for background music, then when I ask about the weather or my schedule or whatever the next morning I can't hear the damn thing. Music volume shouldn't effect the assistants volume.
I wouldn't mind a nighttime assistant volume that's lower though, nice for turning off the lights and stuff. But a louder morning/daytime assistant volume is what I really want.
I do this except for loud music while cooking and I just ended up making a shortcut for "it's loud" and it returns the volume to the right volume. I wish there was some automated way to do it, or a notification channel and a media channel like they have on android
Yes, having a separate "media volume" for music and podcasts and the like, and a "voice volume" for the Assistant itself would be great.

Currently my biggest annoyance with my bedroom GH. I've set a reminder to check back every day until I get this setting.
Agreed. Would love to set a minimum voice volume so even if I listen to music at a low volume or one of the white noise soundscapes at bed, she isn't whispering to me when I need her to answer a question.
That's an exciting new feature! Does it also allow scheduling of volume levels so it returns to a preset level rather than maybe an extra high or low level that was just used temporarily the night before?
I have that preview version but not the option?
Nice! I wouldn't mind being able to turn command responses off completely though as well. The majority of times, I don't need the command repeated back to me, I just want it executed.
Gonna look into that myself. Totally agree. Hopefully it could mute needless confirmation responses from 3rd party apps too.
Sweet golden brown magic
Where is this at in the app?
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like an idiot every time I have to find something in the app. I swear to god, the settings are never in the same place they were the last time I had to hunt for them.
Did you have any luck...I can't find it either.
Upgrading to the newest version... The one on apkmirror enabled it for me
Perfect timing with the incoming release of a smaller unit for the bedroom.
That's what she said.
.... sorry, but I had to.
Smaller for the bedroom? I loveeee having the big one in the bedroom. I'm going to use the smaller ones in the bathroom for when I take a colder shower.
As someone who wants to get into home automation when I'm out of college and hopefully having a higher paying job, the Mini is going to be my first unit. Just going to plug it into my bluetooth speakers.
But yes, I'll probably get one for the bedroom too. I'll likely end up buying one as soon as I can get my hands on one, and then buying another for Christmas for my bedroom.
Oh hells yes. Just turned this on. Definitely sent multiple feedback reports about this. Really dig that it lets you dim the LEDs as well, I explicitly mentioned that in one of my reports.
As a new parent this is amazing.
If only they added a way to turn the startup sounds off... nothing like having a series of power blips waking you up from those damn chimes
Omfg that's what I needed
