美国国内持续了一星期多的航班中断问题仍在发酵。据福克斯商业频道12日报道，美国航空公司当天再现大规模航班中断，单日有超过1000个航班被延误或取消。
航班跟踪网站 FlightAware 的数据显示，截至美东时间12日上午10时，当天有1000多个进出美国或在美国国内执飞的航班延误，另有100多个航班被取消。
报道称，受航空公司人手短缺、天气和空中交通管制等问题影响，今年夏天航班被延误或取消的情况在美国比较普遍。
自8月4日以来，由于雷暴等天气问题频出，航班中断情况尤其严重。特别是8月5日，有1613个航班被取消、8430个被延误，延误数量创下过去一个月新高。
