7月4日15时11分，地球到达轨道远日点，人们将看到一轮“年度最小太阳”。
因为地球围绕太阳运行的轨道并非正圆形，而是椭圆，因此日地距离井不固定。地球经过远日点时速度最慢，经过近日点时最快，因此各季节间的间隔长度也不相等。
如2021年秋分到2022年春分共经过178天20小时12分，而2022年春分到2022年秋分共经过186天9小时31分。
随着地球到达轨道远日点，与此同时， 今年入伏时间为7月16日，意味着一年中最热的时期即将到来。
