Does this version of mm still work with Magisk v21? The prerequisites on github clearly state "19-20" but I thought I'd ask despite that, since perhaps an update is not even needed(?)
Hello good day, I am Yusuf by name from Nigeria. I boughht a refurbished samsung galaxy note9, and i saw an app called "magisk". I clicked it, and when going through it I saw "boot to recovery". Hi Yusuf. I don't speak korean, but here's how the google translate app translates your photo. So I think it seems indeed to be some kind of recovery. So I'd suggest you try pressing the power key for 7 seconds and the volume down button at the same time because it sounds to me like that would cancel whatever is happening.

I am absolutely not certain what is happening here but it's likely just some (custom?) recovery that you could perhaps even replace if you wanted to.

I'm sorry Yusuf, but I don't really know much more. If long-pressing the power button for 7 seconds does not work, and pressing both the power and the volume down button for 7 seconds also does not work, then I would advise you to open a new thread to ask about that. This thread here is not really related to your problem, I think.

I just want to report that this module works for me with Magisk 22.0 under TWRP 3.5.0_9-0 on my OnePlus 7 Pro running OOS 10.3.8. I always prefer to use adb sideload for flashing, and this module works fine when I flash it in this manner.

The script gets installed into /sbin/mm, and it doesn't stick for me, but that is consistent with the documentation, and I have no problem reflashing this when needed.

Good work!

Confirming that the module worked perfectly well with my OnePlus 7 Pro running on OxygenOS (OOS) 10.3.8 with TWRP 3.5.2_9-0 and Magisk v23.0. Thanks!

Thanks for that report! I created a new release upon this info, happy to see it's still confirmed working under Magisk v23.X!

Hey man, Im getting error 123 when installing the latest version on my poco f3 (twrp 3.5.1) , I also tried your latest version of the gui and it gets stuck at configuring gui, whats the problem? :/
So i was able to flash the zip via twrp, however it looks like when i try to remove or disable a Magisk Module, nothing actually happens? I remove a module, it has the [x] next to it, i reboot the system.... nothing happens, it boots into Fastboot --> i return to TWRP and look at the terminal again, the module is still there with an [x] next to it?
Im using Magisk 20.4 and like i mentioned, i got the 20200417 from your github.
I used the mod previously without issue on Magisk 19 but for some reason something is getting hung up when i attempt to use it now?

I'm with this same problem, if somebody could help it would be appreciated

I recently reset my phone. The module somehow won't install in Magisk now.

Hey, I tried to flash it but it says 'Invalid zip file format'. I'm stuck in bootloop and couldn't install the non-GUI version either due to error 1, so I'd really appreciate any advice
Starting to fear I've just bricked a brand new phone

I also get the error 123. The GUI Tool hangs on "Starting AROMA INSTALLER version 3.00"... Any thoughts?

This Module is trash. Error 123 always. Followed the Methods and it's the same on my Redmi Note 10 5G. GUI Version trash too. Shows 14 Modules in text but you can only select one out of the 13 Modules. We want to use this Module so pls help us to find a Solution for this Problem.

I updated VR25's Magisk Manager for Recovery mode so it now also works with Magisk v23.X!
With this you can be at ease while trying out Android Magisk Modules.
Since if you end up with a bootloop you can just disable the module from recovery
    Saved my ass many times!

Flash this in TWRP each time you want to use it, not in Magisk itself.

You can download the new release from my GitHub: https://github.com/Rikj000/Magisk-Manager-for-Recovery-Mode/releases

    Original thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-tool-magisk-manager-recovery-mode-t3693165

Edit: Alternative with touchable GUI available
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/tool-magisk-manager-recovery-tool-v1-0-t3866502
Edit2: Haven't had need to use it myself for a while, but still reported as working on Magisk v23.X! So updated the documentation and released a new version
The old 2019 version sticks for me & I had no issues whatsoever installing it from TWRP on Magisk v20.x setup. I can still do /sdcard/mm from TWRP terminal & do stuff.

Sorry if I'm unable to see what's the purpose of this 'fork'.

Updated installer script to support the latest magisk. It's unclear to me how you managed to get v4 installed though, me and other users where having issues with it on magisk v20, check the latest comments on the original thread.

All I wanted to do was to be able to use this piece of software again since it saved my skin a lot of times already... If you don't trust my change feel free to review my commits on github, it's all open source

Other benefit to it is that the original didn't have a release / easy and clear instructions, which is the cause of this module being less popular then it should be. I hope my new release clears up that problem aswell.

Just wanna say thank you. this recovery saved my rear yesterday after i flashed a magisk module that caused my phone to bootloop repeatedly and the only other options it was offering me was to retry booting which would lead to another bootloop or to wipe my phone which would of destroyed all my data and caused me all sorts of headaches.

I just flashed this bad boy in Twrp and ran sh /sdcard/mm and chose to disable the module that was looping me and just like that i was able to boot normally and regain access to my phone. this is top notch stuff here. saved my Moto G Power with android 10 on magisk 20.4

FYI, you can just go to data/adb/modules and delete the module's folder using TWRP or OFOX file manager.
