Sony’s PlayStation exclusives target a different audience
Bloodborne is probably the most requested PC port of the decade, but Sony would not give it to us. Instead, the Japanese giant announced it will bring two of its PlayStation-exclusives to the PC: Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Following God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn, the two Spider-Man blockbusters are now looking for new, much larger audiences. Probably emboldened by the success of the other PlayStation exclusives that find a good home on PC, Sony has decided to bring more triple A titles to other platforms, including mobile.
Fully optimized for PC by PlayStation Studios partner studio Nixes Software, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are getting a lot of PC-specific improvements, including adjustable render settings and ray-traced reflections.

It allows our team to leverage our technical expertise and focus on creating the best possible PC experience that takes advantage of all the exciting possibilities the PC platform has to offer,” said Jurjen Katsman, Nixxes’ Founder and Senior Director of Development.
According to developer Insomniac, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC will include the full mains tory and its continued narrative in Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC, which features three accompanying story chapters in Peter Parker’s journey along with additional missions and challenges for players to discover.
Although not much else about the PC ports have been revealed in terms of performance, Insomniac Games did say to expect more details about the games as we’re getting closer to their respective launches. More importantly, the developer confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will launch on PC on August 12, while Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to arrive in Fall 2022.
