iOS 16 Lets You Enable Keyboard Haptics for Vibrations as You Type

Monday June 6, 2022 12:44 pm PDT by Sami Fathi

Like Android, Apple will let users enable vibrations on the native stock iOS keyboard for each tap, providing a physical confirmation for users as they type.

Apple says these vibrations help serve as a "confirmation" as a user types. The new feature is part of a broader slate of changes coming to the keyboard on iOS 16, including support for 19 new languages in Emoji search and improvements to the experience for Chinese users.

‌iOS 16‌ is a massive release for the iPhone that lets users entirely customize their Lock Screen and changes across the system. Apple just wrapped up WWDC, so be sure to stick around for MacRumors for full coverage of all the new updates and announcements.

Lol some of you are so negative!
I'd rather have way more features we can turn on/off than not have them at all. Thank you for adding this long overdue feature.

OMG! Thank you so much. I miss the Keyboard Haptic. I prefer it. Currently, I have Grammarly App installed and it offers the Haptic. It's very nice.

Please, bring back the Unlock Screen sound too.

it's better than having the sounds ON which in my opinion are annoying as hell.

specially if you have earphones on, these keyboard sounds are ear piercing.

Nice. Still wish the keyboard could have a number row or numbers/symbols as secondary choices on the main keyboard (instead of having to switch keyboards to type them).
