Mi unlock tool getting the "Please rebind and try again error.". Did somebody encounter this error?

It's understandable in some ways, because people like us, who want to actively modify their devices, are in the absolute minority. I will probably return the F3 if they do not solve this problem soon. I just can't be stuck on that childish MIUI... Hardware is really nice but I can't stand their UI as daily driver...
But maybe this "please rebind and try again" error is due to the fact that the phone had to be used regularly during that week so that the Xiaomi spyware "understands" that the phone is working normally during that week and the session does not expire.

I let the phone sleep in a closet for the 168 hours.

Possibly, but that would have surfaced long ago, if this hasn't been introduced the last couple of days. Especially on xda, where people flash over MIUI the instant the waiting timer is over to get proper ownership over their device.
As someone mentioned earlier, I will return it as well, if this issue isn't resolved within a week.
Having to wait a week to unlock and being able to return it for two weeks, you don't leave me much of a choice here, Xiaomi.

Phone was used everyday the whole week, so probably not related to the device activity, but more so to the server.
Unlock app seems to be calling a EU Xiaomi server located in the Netherlands for login, possibly same for unlocking. I could try redirecting the trafic to the US server, but someone would have to give me the hostname from the logs, and there is very little hope anyway.
Same error since Saturday after trying to unlock with a EU account, even after waiting the full week.

Might be possible, if they use the same database for users but just redirect based on region, could be great if someone who registered with an US account here cooperated with you, good luck!

Isn't using a new account with US as region enough?

I honestly am starting to have the feeling that we need to spam them to get them to react
Have done. Am nearing the end of my tether with them. I am even holding major doubts that spamming these muppets will do anything. I really have the urge just to exchange my hadset for a different / more user friendly brand.
As I have previously stated, I have done so already. Many times.thank you for your email to Xiaomi Support Germany.
The error you mentioned usually refers to the phone itself not being added to the Mi Account. Should your phone be added, please remove the account from the phone and sign in again.
So what you are saying is that you "offer" a functionality with your phones, but don't really bother to fully implement them?Since the process of unlocking is not officially supported by Xiaomi Germany, we suggest searching the mi community for further assistance: https://c.mi.com/
As there is the option to "unlock OEM bootloader" yet the whole system and infrastructure surrounding that, is utterly ineffective and useless, then why is it there / offered?
Then you advise to query the mi community for assistance for YOUR product. Take into account that the Mi community is hosted on mi.com (the official Xiaomi website as I am led to believe)
Therefore would it be safe to assume you would take some kind of accountability towards assuring your products / services are in sync and effective?
Or should I just ditch Xiaomi handsets altogether, go back to my mobile supplier and swap it for another brand that will NOT lock me out and prevent me using MY phone how I wish...

Just tried with an US account, but although domain used for login is different (eu-unlock.update.intl.miui.com vs unlock.update.int.miui.com), they both seems to be redirecting to the same server.
I also got again the 168hrs wait with the US account.
