美国生物初创公司 Bolt Threads 周三宣布，其人造皮革材料Mylo已被验证为素食材料，它获得了国际实验室Eurofins的Vegan Verification素食认证标志，确认其中不含任何动物DNA。
Mylo利用野蘑菇根部的菌丝体，在实验室通过生物技术制成。菌丝体是菌类植物埋藏于地下的部分， Mylo 用作原料的菌丝体生长过程快速高效，两周内即可长成，其生产设施100%由可再生能源驱动，因此排放的温室气体更少，比生产动物皮革所需的水和其他资源少，对环境的影响也更小。
