IMDb TV, Amazon's free streaming app, has expanded to Sony's PlayStation 4 and Nvidia's Shield consoles, as well as the TiVo Stream 4K and certain smart television sets from LG.

Free IMDb TV Shows, Now on More Devices

On LG's Smart TVs, the free IMDb TV app is available on models manufactured between 2018 and 2021, Engadget reports, including models sporting OLED panels.

In addition to the aforementioned devices, the ad-supported service is also available on the Roku, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Sony Android TVs, iOS, Android, and the new Chromecast with Google TV devices, as well as on the web and all Amazon Fire devices.

Plus, you can also access the IMDb TV channel in Amazon's Prime Video app.

IMDb TV launched in January 2019 under the name "Freedive". Amazon, which owns IMDb, soon changed the name to IMDb TV, but the offering remained the same.

You can get started with IMDb TV at the official IMDb TV website.

Why You Should Give IMDb TV a Try

The US-only streaming service is stuffed with on-demand shows and movies such as Arrival and The Lincoln Lawyer from the likes of Warner Bros., Sony Pictures Entertainment, MGM Studios, and others. In other words, you can be pretty sure there will always be something on the platform that's worth watching.

Amazon Studios originals are also featured on IMDb TV.

Of course, IMDb TV's content catalog cannot compete with the massive libraries on Netflix or Hulu. That said, however, people who are especially inclined to older titles should definitely be able to find something worth watching on IMDb TV.

While the service is available at no charge whatsoever, Amazon does inject 15 and 30-second advertisement spots within movies and shows that people watch on the platform.
