I'm worried that this project will end or somthing... tho it would be so weird - it has gotten so popular now

I agree. This is an essential tool for the entire Linux community and I couldn't find any real alternative out there. I'm surprised this is not taken more seriously.

(Disclaimer: I'm not involved in this project, this is just a general observation based on having my own projects in a similar state.)

This is an open source project that I understand is a spare-time endeavor of love by @evilsocket -- being "important" or "popular" is good and well, but doesn't help him allocate (or finance!) his time working on it. I imagine some patience and support would go a long ways here. winkheart+1

Of course, totally understandable! I guess here we are just wishing that perhaps more people jump in and start contributing regularly to this project since it's so important for everybody.

yes, i'm not working on it anymore and i'm not responding to issues, because i lost interest and nobody pays me for this ... if this project is so essential (?), the "Linux community" can fork it and send a PR.

Totally reasonable response, could we get it posted in the read.me to draw more attention to the vacancy and willingness to get a different mainline going? I'll make a PR for the read.me if you don't want to.

@evilsocket could you please archive the project please?

edit: @trisimix answer first. No need to update the readme since a warning will appear once the project is archived.

better find a new trustworthy maintainer first.

a feature bounty system like https://www.bountysource.com/ or other would be great.

i hope this can bring new coders, features and bug fixes.

i use littlesnitch on my mac book and opensnitch on my linux desktop and don't want to miss this.

And a donate button i fully miss here. @evilsocket

I agree would be better, but is a quite big task and a bad choose can create a lot of drama;
archiving the project is a 10 seconds click without any added responsibility.

i don't see why people have to tell me what to do with this project ... it will not be archived for the time being.
