Twitter 正式将字符数限制放宽到 280 个字符
在数周的测试之后，Twitter 正式宣布将字符数限制放宽到 280 个字符，为原先 140 个字符数的两倍。但这一政策不适用于中文、日文和韩文，这些语言仍然有 140 个字符数的限制，Twitter 给出的理由是这些语言能用更少的字数表达意思，不需要更多的字符数。Twitter 产品经理 Aliza Rosen 在官方声明中指出，放宽到 280 个字符并没有导致用户发表大量填满 280 个字符的帖子，测试一开始确实如此，因为毕竟比较新颖，但很快行为就恢复了正常。他们观察到当用户需要使用到 140 个以上字符时，他们的发推更简单了，也更频繁了。绝大多数用户所发布帖子的字符数仍然在 140 个以内。
