上半年，网易的游戏业务收入为29亿美元，排名全球第七。
游戏市场情报研究机构Newzoo最新数据显示，2017年上半年，全球前25名上市公司游戏业务总收入达414亿美元，同比增长20%。
上半年，腾讯（00700.HK）的游戏业务总收入排名全球第一，达74亿美元，同比增长50%。Newzoo表示，腾讯游戏收入的快速增长得益于《王者荣耀》在中国的流行。第二季度，腾讯的手游收入首次超过PC端游。网易（NTES.NASDAQ)是另一家游戏业务收入排名前十的中国公司，游戏业务收入为29亿美元，排名第七。
财报显示，2017年上半年，腾讯网络游戏收入为466.72亿元人民币，占总收入比例为44.0%；网易网络游戏收入为201.3亿元，占总收入比例为75%。
